Chipotle is constantly thinking of ways to push innovation with their digital offerings. They asked us to prototype an Alexa skill that would make ordering as easy as saying “Hey Alexa, order my favorite.” This prototype ultimately didn’t go live but it was a valuable experience to explore new ways of designing content. 

Role

As the content strategist on this project, I worked closely with UX design and engineering to map out the prompts, queries, and responses. Considering edge cases and error states was a necessity, especially when there isn’t visual feedback to alert the user to an issue.

Voice user interface (VUI) is still an emerging space and the playbook for best practices is constantly evolving.
